MICROMINE is Set to Release Geobank 2017
Now in its 30th year, MICROMINE has maintained its leading reputation by regularly releasing new software versions that build upon the strengths of its solutions. This ensures MICROMINE’s software continues to meet evolving user needs and industry conditions.
Established in 1986, in Perth, Western Australia, MICROMINE has cultivated a reputation as a leading provider of software solutions to mining communities throughout Australia, Russia, Africa and across the world.
MICROMINE is set to release the latest version of its flexible and secure data management solution, Geobank 2017, to clients and industry at a launch event held in November at the CORE Resources Innovation Hub within FLUX in Perth, Western Australia. Following the Perth launch, events will be held internationally throughout the company’s global offices, including Russia, North America, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
Geobank 2017 delivers improved usability, functionality and performance, with a variety of user benefits relevant to both exploration and mining operations.
Geobank products are designed and built to ensure that no matter how large your company is, how limited your IT capabilities or diverse your geological resource, MICROMINE has the solution required. Geobank is a secure and flexible data management solution to protect your most valuable asset – your data.
Commenting on the upcoming release, MICROMINE’s Product Strategy Manager, Mark Gabbitus said, “Geobank 2017 is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the product team recently to get new features, improved user experience and client requests out to all our clients, we believe that the new Sample Tracker functionality is going to be a real winner.”
The new and improved sample tracker enables batch loading or lab data, essential at operations with onsite labs, as well as several automated features designed to reduce configuration and management for the database administrators.
Demonstrating our commitment to markets outside of Australia the new Excel lab file importer is set to help clients in Russia, a huge emerging market for Geobank, Micromine and Pitram. “This is something our Russian clients have asked for and we have delivered” said Gabbitus. “The labs over there traditionally provide sites with analysis results in multi tab excel spread sheets. In the past, this required the database administrator to export the data to CSV and then import. Now it’s set and forget”.
One of the big focus areas for Geobank 2017 has been improving the user experience and many of small but cumulatively exciting new features speaks to that mission. Improved workflows, reports and dialogs mean that the administrator and general users day to day experience of Geobank will be significantly enhanced.
